Casual Disability Support Worker – Townsville

About the Role
Townsville Support Solutions is seeking passionate and reliable Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will support NDIS participants in their homes and in the community, helping them achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
This role includes personal care, community access, social support, transport to appointments, and implementing behaviour support strategies as needed. You'll work independently but as part of a supportive and professional team dedicated to quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support in accordance with participant care plans
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal prep, cleaning, and budgeting
- Promote social participation and community engagement
- Accurately document shift notes and maintain professional boundaries
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and your team
Qualifications & Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Driver's Licence + reliable, insured vehicle
- Strong spoken English communication skills
- Availability for shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Experience in disability, mental health, or aged care
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support
- Flexible and proactive approach to changing participant needs
