Carnarvon Community College is seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Role

As a Secondary Generalist Teacher, you will ideally provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to cater for a range of learning needs. You will ideally have the capacity to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. Strong classroom management and the ability to engage students successfully are important.

Suitable applicants will ideally have the capacity to teach one or more learning areas, preferably Mathematics, Science, English, Digital Technologies and/or Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants should be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment; with high accountability and sound expectations to ensure all students achieve their maximum potential. You should be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and develop positive, productive partnerships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Eligibility

To Work With Us, You Must hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. You may need to apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start, and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
