This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency. Geraldton Senior High School caters for students in Years 7 to 12, enabling young people to complete their entire secondary education at our school. Our belief is that every student is unique with experience, learning styles and goals. From this, we provide a broad and comprehensive education with pathways leading to attainment of an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification or future employment. The RoleThe role of Program Coordinator - Student Services is dynamic, strategic, proactive, and hands on. The successful applicant would work collaboratively with the Student Services personnel and Executive Team to develop, manage, and deliver relevant programs and initiatives to support the school\'s core values. They will lead with cultural responsiveness and be an effective communicator who is able to handle difficult conversations in a compassionate and empathetic way.
As Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on students in relation to, attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, educational engagement, and Students at Educational Risk. This role is an integral part of our Student Services Team, and the successful applicants will display their ability to motivate and lead by example.
As Program Coordinator, you would provide support to teachers and curriculum leaders in student wellbeing and work in a collaborative team to meet all Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority requirements through various strategies such as targeted intervention and student case management. To ensure high quality outcomes for students, the Program Coordinator Student Services would need to build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Geraldton Senior High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 500(pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
