Overview

Accounts / Administration Officer. We are a Seafood Wholesaler located in North Wollongong, seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Admin Officer to join our growing team. Ideally you will be a self-starter and able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in ERP systems and processes within a manufacturing or supply chain environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties and responsibilities include -

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Payroll – end to end
  • Assist with BAS, Payroll Tax and superannuation reporting and lodging
  • Assist with Keeping records up to date across multiple entities
  • Assist with HR functions as required
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Receipting payments including EFTPOS credit card transactions
  • Collection of monies outstanding and accurate Debtor control to maintain cash flow and remain compliant with Trade Credit terms
  • Monthly management reports
  • Accurate product costing through data capture, collating, analysis and interpretation to enable sound business decisions for product pricing, margins and business profitability
  • All aspects of Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable - invoice entry, account reconciliations
  • Answering phones to assist with all aspects of customer service
  • Responding to internal and external queries
  • Verify and process credit applications
  • Ongoing management of Debtor and Creditor records
  • Provide general business and administrative support as required
  • Preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger
  • Monthly reconciliation of Supplier statements
  • Assist sales and operational staff when required
  • Assist the QA manager with all Quality Assurance matters
  • General office administration tasks
Skills and Attributes
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar role or relevant tertiary qualifications with three years' experience
  • Ability to communicate with people across the business
  • Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft office applications, with a strong knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems
  • Experience with Greentree ERP software, considered an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Understanding of the seafood industry and products would be advantageous
