Steelbiz Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Port Kembla, NSW. As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising and coordinating the work of the mechanical team, including fitters, turners, and machinists
  • Developing and implementing maintenance schedules to keep our machinery in top condition
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the team, helping them to work safely and effectively
  • Monitoring and reporting on the team\'s performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other departments to optimise the overall efficiency of our operations
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Supervisor role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical equipment, tools, and processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
