The Role

Instituted in this role is a tailored training program, typically lasting up to 3 months, depending on your experience. Training will take place across at one of our store locations; designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for success.

Upon completion, you'll have the opportunity to transition seamlessly into a Customer Service Manager role.

As you progress into a Customer Service Manager, you will be able to work in a fast-paced environment as well as having excellent leadership skills to train and develop a new team. Our aim is to make our Customers and Employees experience at Spudshed a welcoming and engaging one

LOCATION: You will be informed of the initial location at the commencement date, but the final location (Southeast Area) will be determined upon completion of your training.

Responsibilities

Customer Service Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain service standards by developing your team and ensuring correct house-keeping is maintained for cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to meet rostering and wage control requirements
  • Driving team culture in line with Spudshed values
  • Finding new ways to improve our Customers shopping experience

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving
  • Strong leadership skills

To be successful in this role you must be Customer focused and passionate about maintaining an excellent Department standard.

From humble beginnings, we began our market garden in 1965 on our 5 acre property in Yangebup, growing a simple crop of beans for the local market. With dedication and hard work we have expanded our farming operations to include a range of vegetables from our market gardens in Baldivis, Myalup and Manjimup, fruit from our Orchards in Kununurra, eggs from our Poultry farm in Anketell and cattle from Manjimup and North Dandalup. We also buy from and sell for local produce growers at our Market Floor in Canning Vale.

One of the many advantages of our business, being hands on, is we are able to respond to customer needs quickly. This has seen Spudshed evolve over the years to a highly competitive independent retailer that now offers a full grocery range in addition to fresh produce, meat, fish, bakery and dairy.

Cutting out the middle man has become a bit of an obsession As primary producers we are at the forefront of the industry and recognise the benefits as growers and more importantly for consumers to provide grower direct product at farm gate prices. We enjoy a fantastic relationship with some amazing West Australian suppliers and are a strong supporter of WA products and people. Our own people consist of over 700 everyday West Australians, who are proud to be part of our family.
