Seeking an experienced educator to join our team as Coordinator for Southern Cross OSHC at Woody Point campus

At Southern Cross Outside School Hours Care, we provide before school care and after school care for up to 59 children. We are proud to support the families and children of the school, parish, and local community.

We run a flexible and adaptable child-initiated program incorporating children's ideas, cultures, and interests. You won't be alone in this journey. You'll be supported by a dedicated team of Educators and a committed management team, ensuring you have all the resources you need to succeed.

This is a term-time position, with the opportunity to work in nearby OSHC services during vacation care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and educational program.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service, including staffing, administration, and financial management tasks.
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Centacare Child Care Services.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor of the service.
  • A strong understanding of Child Care legislation, including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.
  • Previous experience in childcare service management.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff.
