Overview

Hinterland Children's Therapy is looking for an experienced paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. We are located on a small farm in Guanaba, 10 minutes from Oxenford and Nerang. We offer a relaxed, family-friendly work environment with a small supportive, multidisciplinary team. The therapy space includes access to outdoor space with horses and dogs on the team. We work with children aged 0–12 years with a range of disabilities who are participants of the NDIS.

Workplace & Schedule

Our workplace is family-friendly and supports work-life balance. We operate a 9‑day fortnight with every second Friday off as an RDO. We cap the number of appointments per fortnight to maintain manageable days, with scheduled breaks between clients and dedicated admin time each day. Full admin support is provided. The position is clinic-based and part-time, with flexible days.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessment and therapy to children (0–12 years) with a range of disabilities.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary clinic and alongside a supportive team; build strong rapport with children and families.
  • Take part in group sessions and contribute to existing group programs where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • A tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Professional Indemnity/Public Liability Insurance
  • Police Certificate, Working with Children Check
  • Current Drivers licence and vehicle

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and interest in delivering assessment and therapy to children.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong initiative, time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and build rapport with children and families.
