Overview

Island Health's Division of Anatomical Pathology has an opportunity for one Anatomical Pathologist to join the team at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia.

Qualifications
  • Fellowship in Anatomic Pathology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia.
  • Excellent diagnostician with superb interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
  • Expertise and fellowship experience in gynecological pathology. Additional subspecialty experience in other surgical subspecialties would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred.
  • Participation in the group coverage of frozen sections and on-call services is required.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring students of the Island Medical Program at the University of Victoria, residents and physicians from various programs.
Role and appointments
  • You will be an essential member of the BC Cancer Gynecological Oncology service, including contributing to local rounds.
  • Eligible for appointment in the Island Health Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Medical Genetics, and as an Associate of the Victoria Pathology Consulting Corporation.
  • You may apply for a clinical appointment with the Department of Pathology at the University of British Columbia.
