Purpose :

This role is responsible for implementing product quality strategies to ensure high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards. It involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception and development through each stage of the product's life.

The position reports to a Director, Quality - Product Innovation, Lifecycle & Release, and requires working from NSW sites in Warriewood (preferred) or Surry Hills, at least 4 days in the office and 1 day remote weekly.

Responsibilities include :

Leadership and Management: Implement the product quality strategic plan, lead and mentor the Product Innovation, Lifecycle team, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver a competitive edge for Blackmores.

Quality Standards : Oversee development, implementation, and enforcement of robust processes and standards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, TGA, safety standards, and customer-specific requirements. Keep the team updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Process Improvement & Risk Management: Drive adoption of best practices in quality management and continuous improvement. Identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks at each product lifecycle stage.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and Group Operations.

Who are you?

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Lifesciences, or Biosciences.
  • At least five years of experience in people management within Quality, with a proven record of leading teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in driving high performance and an agile culture.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health Authority Organisations and TGA guidelines.
  • Experience with product quality management systems, risk management, and industry standards in complementary medicine, pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, or food manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage quality control across diverse product categories.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile workplace.
