The Opportunity

Following a series of project wins, we have a strong pipeline of work nationally. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced hydraulic modeler / designer to join our growing team in Sydney.

Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will work under the supervision of senior modelers and hydraulic engineers and will be responsible for detailed modeling of building and infrastructure hydraulic services, including potable water, wastewater, sewer, natural gas, hot water generation, and stormwater.

You will have experience in design modeling on diverse engineering and construction projects and a demonstrated level of technical understanding of hydraulic services to assist in the efficient development of concept planning for projects.

In this role, you will:

1. Model buildings and infrastructure projects using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
2. Collaborate within project or discipline-based teams to contribute, complete, and implement designs.
3. Manage and deliver assigned project work within the hydraulic discipline.
4. Complete work within negotiated standards of time, cost, and quality.
5. Work within Australian Standards, regulations, KBR procedures, and client requirements.
6. Interface with clients to understand their needs.
7. Identify and resolve service-related problems.
8. Achieve high client satisfaction and encourage repeat work.
9. Seek advice on matters outside your experience or judgment.

Who are you?

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

• Experience using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for hydraulic projects.
• Experience in plumbing design/modeling and knowledge of relevant plumbing codes.
• A Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (Operations or Hydraulic Services Design).
• A Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design (preferred).
• The ability to work independently and in a team to deliver project documentation within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety regulations and commitment to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
