Sponsorship Specialist - Brand & Customer Experience

About the role:

Contribute to strengthening and differentiating Suncorp's portfolio of brands through innovative external sponsor partnerships and engagement strategies that support the business by delivering:

• Reach and exposure in priority markets, brand consideration, appeal and competitor differentiation.
• Attract and deepen relationships through integrated brand engagement and experiences.

More specifically, you will:

• Contribute to commercial outcomes through strong brand alignment to the sponsorship portfolio.
• Support the optimal leverage of the sponsorship portfolio through operational excellence in innovation, planning, delivery and measurement.
• Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of sponsorships and third-party partners, agencies and suppliers to deliver sponsorship programs.
• Lead on the portfolio's ticketing and hospitality program and delivery across a wide stakeholder group.
• Drive strong working relationships with marketing peers, internal stakeholders and partners.
• Maintain a deep understanding of brand and customer needs, behaviours, interests for priority segments, connecting with customers where they are most engaged and passionate.
• Implement contractual benefits for all key sponsorship assets.
• Assist to plan, brief, develop and execute sponsorship leverage campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
• Influence marketing stakeholders to deliver market-leading sponsorship and leverage programs and experiences in alignment with the brand propositions and campaigns
• Assist with planning and activation across sponsorship partners/ third-party providers, media and events (including event response) where required.
• Demonstrate test and learn methodologies with a commitment to effective measurement and program optimisation.
• Assist in the reporting on sponsorship campaign results, ROI and share learnings with the wider marketing team.
• Leverage internal and external research, competitive and industry intelligence to ensure activities are current, fluid and two-way with customers/ communities.
• Assist where required in the continuous review of sponsorship strategy to identify synergies, gaps, overlaps and divestment strategies (in line with supporting brands to keep, get and grow customers).
• Support on commercial negotiations with external partners to secure opportunities at fair value and relevant benefits, while maintaining a strong positive reputation for the business.
• Contribute when required to written/verbal sponsorship strategies to stakeholders and senior management.
• Contribute to the management of sponsorship budgets, invoice processing and monthly forecasting to deliver target cost base.
• Adhere to and execute robust program governance – legal, data, brand alignment, risk etc.
• Respond to internal and external sponsorship requests.
• Role model the Suncorp Behaviours and Code of Conduct.

About You:

• Degree in Marketing or equivalent
• Preferred 5 years+ marketing experience in a similar environment with a focus on marketing, sponsorship and customer engagement strategies.
• Background in sponsorship portfolio management.
• Extensive experience in building and deploying sponsorship, communications and media activation strategies.
• Experience managing brand activations and ticketing programs.
