In this role, you'll :
- Provide exceptional customer service and streamline experiences when assisting passengers with inquiries and connecting them to regional services.
- Manage a broad range of day-to-day station operations, including station presentation, cleaning, and general maintenance.
- Collaborate with train crew and other stakeholders to ensure safety standards are met and manage potential safety risks impacting staff and passengers.
Important note : The Customer Service Attendant position is a Permanent Part-Time role, working a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight. You may be required to work a rotational roster with varying location, days, start, and finish times based on business needs.
You may also need to work additional hours at short notice, including overtime and at other locations.
The full-time pay rate for this position is $1241.50 per week, including the Industry Allowance. As a part-time employee, you will be paid on a pro-rata basis based on your agreed hours, with benefits including superannuation and up to 5 weeks of annual leave loading.
Note : A Talent Pool will be created for current and future temporary and permanent, part-time and full-time positions in the South Coast Region for the next 18 months.

About you :
- You are enthusiastic and passionate about working within your local community, serving as the first point of contact at the station.
- You are resilient with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of providing clear instructions and managing difficult conversations with diverse individuals.
- You are confident, able to problem-solve, and make prompt decisions under pressure while working with various stakeholders in a safety-focused environment.
- Own transport is beneficial as some shifts start outside train operating hours.
