About Goodstart McDowall

Join us at Goodstart McDowall, located in Brisbane's north-west, a leafy, family-friendly suburb known for its green spaces, parks, and relaxed lifestyle. With great cafes, schools, and proximity to the city, McDowall offers the perfect blend of suburban peace and urban convenience.

A welcoming, 74-place centre with a strong local reputation, 80.2% occupancy year to date, and proudly rated 'Meeting' overall by ACECQA, with an Exceeding rating in Governance and Leadership (Quality Area 7). Our purpose-built centre is located in the Flockton Street shopping precinct, providing convenience and a vibrant local community atmosphere.

• Take the lead in our Kindergarten room in a fun, rewarding full-time capacity, supporting children aged 3–5 years as they develop confidence, curiosity, and school readiness skills.
• Work between our flexible hours of 6:30am – 6:30pm, in a team where collaboration and support are part of the culture.
• Partner with our experienced Early Childhood Professional team, who draw on strong links with local primary schools to help children transition successfully to school.
• We foster a play-based learning environment that encourages child agency, builds a sense of belonging, and nurtures connections with Country and culture.
• Work under the guidance of our Centre Director, who brings over 10 years of experience with Goodstart, holds a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Business Administration, and leads with insight, warmth, and vision.

You'll Need

• Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
• Current QLD Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
