Your Why

The purpose of the Senior DevOps Engineering Role at ubank is to help develop quality technical solutions that meet both business and customer needs. You'll play a critical role in shaping and scaling our infrastructure platform. You'll lead the design and implementation of robust, secure, and high-performing systems that empower our engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and architecture teams to solve complex challenges and drive continuous improvement across our DevOps practices.

How You Will Spend Your Time

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform and modern DevOps tooling.
• Write, test, and maintain automation scripts and platform services in Go and Python.
• Lead initiatives to improve CI/CD pipelines, reducing deployment friction and increasing reliability.
• Drive infrastructure upgrades, patching, and platform hardening with a focus on security and performance.
• Mentor and support junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features.
• Own and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for production systems.
  
  

What will you bring:

• Relevant experience, or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), networking, and security best practices.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python for automation and tooling.
• Solid understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices (e.g., OWASP).
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members.
