  • Full-time, continuing opportunity
  • HEWL9: $126,632 - $133,941 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions
  • A 2.75% pay rise effective from 31 December 2025
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE

In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage incident responses, security investigations, and audits to guarantee the well-being of our staff, students, and property. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining safe environments through risk analysis, policy development, and crisis management planning. You will provide strong contract management oversight across key soft services, security, cleaning, security, and waste, ensuring service quality, value for money, and alignment with compliance and performance standards. By delivering top-notch campus services, you\'ll play a pivotal role in optimizing our business outcomes. Your dedication to upholding quality standards and compliance will mitigate risks and ensure our campuses operate seamlessly. As a key contributor to strategic planning, you\'ll prioritize security and cleaning initiatives that align with our enterprise goals. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team to foster innovation and teamwork.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will possess qualifications or substantial experience in security, crisis, or emergency management. They will exhibit adept people and resource management skills, fostering a positive team culture and providing operational and tactical leadership. They will demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain highly effective working relationships, WHY JCU?
