Overview

Senior Accountant position with a PE-backed business. This is a newly created role reporting to the CFO. The role supports the timely and accurate month-end close, audits, and annual reporting, with a view to pivot to a more FP&A focus after the initial 6-12 months.

Remuneration

A$120,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Complete the end-to-end monthly reporting process in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, Capital Projects and capital-related reporting
  • Prepare the monthly cash forecasting
  • Prepare the monthly BAS as well as annual tax and FBT returns
  • Monthly reconciliation of account balances and prompt follow-up of discrepancies
  • Assist with annual audit and financial statements preparation
  • Capture additional value through efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities while assisting setup of new procedures and processes
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested by the CFO (e.g., budgeting & forecasting process, costing, business partnering)
Qualifications
  • CA/CPA qualified; may have commenced career in professional services
  • Minimum 4 years in a relevant finance role
  • Exposure to tax will be viewed favorably
  • Experience within a private equity owned portfolio company will be viewed favorably
  • High achievement drive with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Continuous improvement mindset, willingness to question the status quo and set up new processes
