Your Opportunity

As the Customer Experience Officer, Educational Planning, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to effective and efficient organisational processes, activities, and mechanisms of Vocational Education and Training (VET) services through the provision of customer-focused, timely, accurate, and effective administrative support services to all clients.
  • Undertaking assigned tasks and completing activities in an organised and efficient manner, achieving high levels of customer service with internal and/or external customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.

This position reports to the Manager, Educational Planning.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity for a period of 12 months unless otherwise determined.

The location of the position is negotiable across campuses within the TAFE Queensland East Coast Region; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change by promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Showing Initiative, Focusing on our Customer, and Taking Responsibility.
  • Assist managers by overseeing campus activities and communicating operational needs.
  • Plan and coordinate your tasks and activities based on established priorities, and re-prioritise as necessary if situations change.
  • Engage with others to achieve results and provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide accurate and efficient services using various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, and data input.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as maintaining records, completing forms (e.g., processing orders and claims for payment), and managing mail and correspondence according to procedures.
  • Support staff with administrative systems, practices, and procedures.
  • Undertake research and development related to business functions.
  • Ensure daily activities align with business operations.
  • Contribute to improving business processes and practices by fostering an environment of high-quality work supported by quality systems.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will possess the following key capabilities:

  • Ability to perform administrative duties within guidelines to provide quality service to customers, stakeholders, staff, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using computerised management information systems and current office equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate activities to achieve successful outcomes within strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication and client liaison.
  • Initiative and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and changing environment.

Mandatory Qualifications / Requirements

  • There are no mandatory requirements for this role.

Highly Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in Customer Service (Administration) or similar roles would be advantageous.
  • Certificate III / IV or Diploma in Business, Administration, or similar, or willingness to obtain such qualifications is highly regarded.
