Account Director (Contract) role at OMD Australia in Brisbane. Parental leave contract capacity, leading a team of 3 while working across two of our largest retail clients. You will be the day-to-day client lead, collaborating with the Media Implementation and Strategy teams, with exposure to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
You will deliver market leading media strategies and executions to unlock growth for your client's business and contribute to our We Create What's Next ambition for clients, people and partners.
What you\'ll do- Lead the team (3 direct reports) using the OMD planning process (OMD Design) to create media strategies and best-in-class executions
- Play a key role in strategic development workshops with clients and media partners
- Conduct in-depth assessments of all communication options, using media research tools to deliver innovative insights
- Collaborate with and share information with all stakeholders, including external agency partners
- Report on competitive, consumer and market data to deliver actionable insights for future recommendations
- Present detailed communications plans to clients, including strategy, implementation planning, execution, sponsorship considerations (corporate, broadcast & data partnerships) and budget management
- Monitor and report on agency contract KPIs
- Understand and drive the commercial arrangements with all clients
- Promote additional OMD services to clients when appropriate; understand capability and how to convert opportunities
- Ensure financial and operational excellence is delivered across your team
- Provide effective leadership and management of direct reports
- Deliver best-in-class client service that builds business
- Ambitious team player who thrives in a high-performance environment
- Broad experience and ongoing learning across media planning (traditional, digital, tech, analytics, strategy, comms planning, sponsorship)
- Experienced channel and implementation planning expert (online and offline)
- Strong budget and financial management skills
- Desire to understand client brands, business performance, brand health, and media effectiveness
- Ability to translate insights into recommended communication initiatives
- Impeccable attention to detail and on-time delivery
- Passion for delivering on client business goals and building strong client relationships
- Experience managing direct reports and developing their skills
- Proactive thinker, exploring new approaches while respecting proven processes
- Demonstrated experience leading a team at Account Director level
