Join a prestigious school for a 6-week temp role, blending reception duties with HR admin support

Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a highly regarded school based in Kew, to find a polished and proactive temp to join the Senior School office.

This 6-week temporary opportunity is perfect for someone with strong reception experience and a knack for administration and data entry. You'll play a key role in supporting the school's HR and compliance functions, while also being the friendly face on reception.

This role is Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5pm, starting the week of July 7th. It's a great chance to gain experience in a respected education setting while using your admin, reception, and organisational skills.

What do you do?

  • Provide reception cover during lunch hours (daily) and afternoons (4pm–5:30pm)
  • Full reception coverage every Friday
  • Assist with HR administration including:
  • Processing employment contracts
  • Managing compliance (e.g. WWCC, First Aid)
  • Use internal systems including Microsoft Dynamics, Synergetic, and ELMO (training provided)
  • General admin and ad hoc duties to support the office
  • Be flexible and willing to help with tasks as needed (e.g. picking up supplies)

What do you need?

  • WWCC REQUIRED
  • Proven experience in reception or admin roles, ideally in busy environments
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – warm, professional, and personable
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Tech savvy – previous use of Microsoft Dynamics, Synergetic or ELMO is a bonus
  • A can-do attitude and flexibility to pitch in with various tasks
  • Must be available to start week of July 7th and commit for 6 weeks
