Overview

Director at Hyper Startup Studio | Build your startup with us. At Hyper, we partner with mid-to-senior executives who want to turn their ideas into funded startups and ultimately transition from their corporate roles to full-time founders.

As a Commercial Strategist (AE), you'll be the first person these founders speak to when they reach out to us. You'll qualify inbound/warm leads, build quick rapport, and help them see how Hyper can turn their idea into reality.

This is a role for someone hungry for sales in the fast-paced startup world, where you'll be trained, coached, and enjoy hitting targets while having a direct impact on who we work with.

About the Role

You'll speak with warm inbound leads, people who've already expressed interest, and help determine whether Hyper is the right fit for them. You\'ll lead exciting idea strategy sessions, ask the right questions, and listen closely to understand each founder's goals, challenges, and readiness.

This is a commercially focused role where your ability to connect, assess, and influence will directly shape who joins the Hyper ecosystem. Success here comes from understanding what makes a great founder, understanding their future goals, spotting the signal early, and helping them see the value in our process and how we can help them achieve their vision.

  • Research daily new ideas
  • Run idea strategy sessions
  • Qualify potential founders
  • Stay close to the startup ecosystem
  • Collaborate across Product, Design and Advisory teams
What You'll Get
  • Base Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped monthly performance commission (OTE $180k+; top performers exceed this regularly)
  • Equity: Stake in Hyper's venture fund
  • Location: Edgecliff (2 mins from Rushcutters Bay for a morning coffee and stroll with the team)
