We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Labourer to perform pipe laying, drainage, and some concreting on mostly subdivision road construction with a local government department located in Ipswich. The role will start as casual labour hire, with potential opportunities to apply for full-time positions in the near future.

About the role

This workplace emphasizes safety, training, and team culture. Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out road construction and maintenance work.
  2. Operating and maintaining machinery and equipment.
  3. Following all WHS policies and instructions from your supervisor to ensure safety.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in concrete and civil labouring.
  • General Safety Induction for the Construction Industry (White Card).
  • Current "C" driver's licence.
  • Dogger / Rigger ticket or pipelaying experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Own long hi-vis workwear and steel cap boots.
  • Two recent referees.

What's on Offer:

  • $38.52/hour (casual) + superannuation
  • Local Ipswich-based work
  • 9-day working fortnight (6:15 am to 3:15 pm)
  • Approximately 3 months of work with a possibility of extension
