
Quality Assurance Manager

This role will see you leading the Quality function and be part of the site leadership team, leading all aspects of the quality, food safety function ensuring the consistent delivery of products in specification while always driving a continuous improvement mindset.
Key responsibilities- Lead and oversee the Food Safety, Quality Management, Environmental & Social Responsibility Programs for the site and associated supply chains.
- Drive continuous improvement and initiate corrective/preventive action to ensure food safety and consistent quality of products.
- Oversee and manage HACCP program.
- Lead all third-party audit activities and ensure audit readiness, including regulatory, BRCGS and customer standards.
- Investigate product-related issues, including changes, legal claims, and customer complaints: coordinate resolution efforts with production teams.
- Lead all external communications with customers across Food Safety, Quality & specification.
- Communicate with government agencies and keep up to date with regulatory, customer and industry standards around food safety and quality management and social responsibility.
- Serve as primary liaison for all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental & Social Responsibility matters with government regulatory agencies, customers, and corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment, compliance and effective communication.
- You will have excellent analytical, problem solving, organisational and communication skills.
- Have the ability to function autonomously, be proactive and adapt to constantly changing business demands.
- Ability to communicate effectively, building rapport with a wide range of stakeholders for productive business outcomes.
- Ability to recognise a critical matter and escalate to appropriate stakeholders where required.
- Knowledge of legislative and operational requirements of Federal, State and Local Government Acts and requirements regarding Food Safety.
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
- At least 5 years working experience in a similar role.
- Formal qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety.
- Understanding of the Food Safety & Quality requirements of Governmental Regulatory Bodies.
- Experience in export markets and regulatory compliance management.
- Internal & External Compliance Lead auditing experience required.
- High level of operational understanding within a consumer/ Customer driven global organization.
