As BON CHARGE continues its global growth, we're expanding our digital capabilities to create a best-in-class eCommerce experience. We're looking for a talented Shopify Web Developer who is equal parts builder, thinker, and optimiser. In this hybrid role, you'll lead the front-end development of our Shopify storefront, while also bringing a deep understanding of user experience best practices and conversion rate optimisation to continually improve site performance.

This hire marks an exciting milestone as we build out a modern, agile in-house tech function to support growth across B2C and emerging B2B channels.

• Collaborate with our existing developer to build and maintain high-performing Shopify Plus storefronts across multiple regions (US, UK, AU)
• Own and manage front-end development for our Shopify store (custom themes, sections, UI components)
• Translate Figma/Adobe XD designs into responsive, high-performance web pages
• Partner with design and marketing to create seamless, intuitive customer experiences
• Implement and monitor A/B tests to validate hypotheses and improve conversion
• Collaborate with the performance team to ensure UX/CRO alignment with traffic sources
• Regularly audit site UX and performance across devices, geographies, and user flows
• Integrate and optimise Shopify apps (eg reviews, subscriptions, upsell tools)
• Stay on top of platform updates, emerging UX trends, and CRO tactics
• Build and maintain integrations with tools like Elevar, Rockerbox, Klaviyo, Reversion, GA4 and more
• Support backend improvements including tagging, filtering, metafields, automation scripts, UTM tracking and workflows
• Work cross-functionally with performance marketing, ops, compliance, PR and design teams to scope and deliver new features, product launches and campaign builds
• Ensure accessibility, SEO and mobile responsiveness best practices
• Document development processes, and support scalable architecture as the team grows

• A strong portfolio of Shopify sites with measurable performance results please share examples and URLs if available
• Working knowledge of UX principles accessibility mobile-first flow optimisation
• Hands-on experience with CRO tools eg Google Optimize Hotjar VWO GA4
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus custom APIs and third-party integrations
• Collaborative mindset you love working with designers, marketers and strategists
• Detail-oriented and data-driven you care about clean code and clean metrics
• Strong communication and collaboration skills ready to work side-by-side with other developers and cross-functional teams
• Experience working with development best practices staging environments code reviews etc
• Previous success with improving site speed
• You are already based in the Sydney area and able to come into the office 3 days a week
