Welders – Hunter Class Frigate Program at BAE Systems Australia. Permanent long-term career opportunity on a major naval defence program, based in Osborne, SA.
Starting pay: Day shift $44.81 – $50.53; Afternoon/Night shifts $58.00 – $65.00.
Responsibilities- Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision or Trades Trainer within current competence.
- Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
- Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
- Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
- Adhere to BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
- Experience fabrication with MIG or Flux Core Welding.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Strong safety focus and commitment to site safety.
- Strong time-keeping abilities.
- Excellent communication.
Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances. Further information regarding security clearances is available.
