We have new opportunities for Fabrication Apprentices to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard — one of the most digitally advanced naval shipyards in the world.

We are now accepting applications for our 2026 apprenticeship program commencing in February. It's an exciting time to join us and a great place to start a career in shipbuilding.

As a Fabrication Apprentice you will gain practical experience working in the shipyard, whilst completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade.

• Fabricating a variety of materials.
• Learning different types of welding processes.
• Develop knowledge of fabrication codes and standards.
• Applying health and safety processes in the workplace.
• Contributing to improving business culture with regards to people, process and systems.

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have:

• An ability to work individually and collaborate with others as a part of a team.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Behaviours that demonstrate integrity, respect, and honesty.
• A positive outlook and enthusiasm to grow and develop in your chosen field.
• Initiative to problem solve and proactively engage in the tasks of your role.
• A demonstrated interest and understanding of becoming an apprentice in a highly sought-after trade.
