The Opportunity:
As part of our growth, Talis is looking for an individual at mid-level to join our Environment Section on a full-time permanent basis. This is an opportunity for an environmental consultant to join a growing team and work with existing and established staff across a broad range of projects.
The role will be within our Approvals and Assessments team and will include:
Approvals and impact assessment;
Audit and compliance;
Monitoring and Management;
Closure; and
Opportunities to contribute to a range of GIS tasks.
About you:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
3-5 years' experience across a range of industries and demonstrated experience in dealing with project approvals, Environmental Impact Assessment, statutory advice, management plans and mine closure;
Experience in working within a consultancy or working on site is a bonus but not a must;
Audit qualifications will also be a bonus;
Experience in coordinating/completing complex technical assessments, records and written reports;
Expertise in dealing with environmental and mining approvals as well as mine closure;
Experience with GIS is an advantage; and
Excellent oral and written skills.
