Hamilton Island has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Childcare Assistant to join our team at Hamilton Island Kindy. Working with the youngest residents of Hamilton Island requires dedication, flexibility and a disposition to match the year round sunshine

Your Role

  • Work across our Nursery and Kindy rooms
  • Assist the Group Leaders and Director in running programs that create a stimulating and interactive learning environment
  • Interact with children in order to nurture their natural development and raise their self–esteem
  • Make every day fun so learning happens effortlessly
  • Preparation and service of food and beverages as required
  • Live on island role

About You

  • Cert III in Childrens Services as a minimum requirement
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma/ Anaphylactic
  • 2 years of practical experience in the children's services industry
  • Queensland Blue Card for working with children
  • Queensland Child protection and abuse prevention certificate
  • Genuine passion for children, with an enthusiastic and happy nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
