Overview

Senior UI/UX Designer – SaaS Application

Hybrid – Melbourne | 6-month contract (view to extend). At YakTrak, we're redefining how organisations develop their people through behavioural science and innovative SaaS technology. Our platform helps leaders and frontline teams unlock potential, embed new behaviours, and drive performance change. We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing product team. This is not just a design-production role — you'll be the voice of our users. You'll spend time out in the field with our enterprise clients, talking to senior leaders and frontline agents, uncovering how they use YakTrak and what could make their experience better. You'll lead a major usability revamp, design frameworks and interaction patterns, and help shape the next generation of YakTrak features. Working closely with product managers, developers, and behavioural science experts, you'll bring customer insights to life through intuitive, engaging, and accessible design.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a major usability revamp and design frameworks and interaction patterns for YakTrak.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and behavioural science experts to translate insights into intuitive, engaging, and accessible design.
  • Spend time with enterprise clients in the field to understand how they use YakTrak and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Advocate for the user as the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in SaaS application design (web + mobile).
  • Proven skills in user research, usability testing, and client workshops.
  • Figma (or equivalent) expertise, with a portfolio of prototypes and design systems.
  • Accessibility mindset and deep understanding of inclusive design.
  • Confidence engaging with both executives and frontline staff to gather insights.
