As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In This Role, You Will
  • Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
  • Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
  • if relevant - Work a part time roster of 12.5 hours per week.

  • Goodstart Andergrove is in a quiet, family-orientated area North of Mackay. Close to private and public schools as well as frequent public transportation.
  • We have our lovely Centre Director who has been working in the Early childhood sector over 10+ years.
  • Goodstart Andergrove is 75 place centre that provides a home-like environment for our staff, children and families.
  • We are currently seeking Educators for both our Kindergarten Studio and to support our Centre in a Float role.

You'll Need
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check
