Overview

Technician Mechanical Maintenance (UG) - Tropicana

This role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, with direct flights from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks in the underground area as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Acting to enhance safety culture and performance and ensuring that the Values are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintaining UG and in-pit dewatering pumping systems, compressors, primary ventilation, refuge chambers and fixed plant assets underground and in the mining areas.
  • Availability to work a callout roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns.
About You
  • A commitment to working safely
  • A relevant Mechanical trade qualification as either a fitter and machinist, automotive or heavy diesel fitter, fitter welder or similar with proven fitting experience.
  • Experience in the maintenance of pumping and ventilation systems or heavy industrial plants, preferably with mining industry experience.
  • The ability to work underground and in pit locations
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-skilled workforce
  • Computer literacy
  • Possession of Mobile crane CN, dogging DG, Rigger basic RB, Elevated work platform WP and Forklift LF high-risk licenses is highly regarded
  • Current Confined space entry & Working at heights certificate
  • Current C Class Drivers License
  • Existing working rights in Australia (mandatory)
