NDIS - Community Support Worker Casual role at Allambi Care. Location: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter and Central Coast, NSW (casual).

About the Role

The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care. Through tailored person‑centred active support, this role empowers participants, including those with complex needs, to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build greater independence and inclusivity, ultimately helping them achieve their goals.

Your Daily Tasks
  • Build a relationship with the people you are caring for.
  • Provide care to participants following a routine developed in consultation with participants and their needs, including personal, medication and domestic care.
  • Transport the people in our care to and from school, grocery shopping and appointments.
  • Assist in the implementation of programs designed for the development of the client.
  • Complete report writing as required.

Qualifications and Essential Criteria
  • Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
  • Current NDIS Worker Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011).
  • National Police Check (via approved portal).
  • Current driver's licence (minimum of a P2) and a vehicle capable of transporting 4+ people.
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Ability to work a 7‑day roster and participate in pre‑employment medical checks.
  • Two professional references.

Please note: Willingness to consent to details being entered on the Residential Care Worker Register before an offer is made.

Desirable Qualifications (not required)
  • Certificate 4 in Disability or Disability Support or equivalent.
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support.
  • Certificate 3 in Aged Care.
