• From $35 to $46.50 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Residential Manager at Lewisham Nursing Home, the role delivers pastoral care services for residents and clients, supporting their cultural and spiritual wellbeing and ensuring they have a choice in their care.

About The Role

  • Providing personal spiritual support and pastoral care to residents and clients in line with their preferences and Catholic Healthcare's Mission
  • Supporting mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents in line with all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly related to the dignity of life and aged care
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their family members
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
