John Holland Seymour Whyte Joint Venture (JHSWJV) have been successfully awarded the contract for the design and construction of Sydney Gateway Stage 1 and Stage 3. The project includes 5 kilometres of new road, 16 bridges and close to 3 kilometres of active transport links.

Benefits of the project include increasing road capacity at Sydney airport, both domestic and international airports. As well as assisting traffic links to Port Botany and St Peter's interchange. JHSWJV will support more than 4,000 jobs over the life of the project.

**Stage 1**: International Terminal and Qantas Drive connection - a new high-capacity road connection, linking the Sydney Motorway network at St Peter's interchange with Sydney Airports International Terminal and Qantas Drive.

**Stage 3**: Domestic Terminal access - an arterial road connection and flyover to Sydney Airport's Domestic Terminals. This Stage includes improvements to existing roads, to relieve congestion and improve connectivity to Sydney Airport Domestic Terminals and towards Port Botany.

**About the Role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced Sustainability Coordinator to play a key role in providing support to the project team to meet its sustainability requirements by ensuring that the project delivers sustainable outcomes that are of value to our customers and meets its contractual obligations. Day to day tasks and activities will include but not be limited to;

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Provide advice and guidance to the design, construction, commercial, operational, and other key project teams in relation to sustainability requirements
- Track and monitor progress of sustainability rating tool submissions
- Compilation of sustainability rating tool submissions
- Compile and monitor against the project sustainability reporting requirements
- Deliver sustainability training for relevant project personnel and contractors
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing management of project environmental & sustainability management systems
- Support the management of environment & sustainability consultants
- Undertake environmental & sustainability field monitoring and inspections as required
- Identify and initiate localised sustainability improvement initiatives
- Identify and communicate improvements to corporate and project sustainability management processes
- Liaise with government bodies and professional organisations on sustainability matters as required
- Report sustainability performance, compliance and defects
- Influence a positive and proactive environmental & sustainability culture across the Project

**What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Degree in the Environmental Sciences e.g. Environmental Protection, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management
- A minimum of 2 years working in a similar role within the Construction industry.
