Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.

Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.

Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.

Manager – Partnerships and Engagement

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Aquatic Capability team and play a lead role in leading stakeholder engagement, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering industry-focused campaigns and events.

Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting into the Senior Manager – Aquatic Industry Services, this full-time, ongoing position is responsible for the leading and planning of impactful events. A key focus will be developing and growing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance Life Saving Victoria's water safety initiatives.

The role has a number of internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent client management and proactive engagement with others. Tasks include:

• Lead the planning and delivery of professional development workshops and sector events.
• Drive communication and marketing efforts across programs and initiatives led by the Aquatic Capability department.
• Oversee the delivery of aquatic industry campaigns, including Swim and Survive, Watch Around Water, Keep Watch, and SwimSafe, to maximise their reach and impact.
• Drive opportunities for growth and innovation within the aquatic industry to enhance LSV's offerings and influence.
• Oversee the evaluation of the effectiveness of campaigns, events, and communications.
• Manage sponsorships and funding partnerships to support program reach and sustainability.
• Advocate for the importance of water safety and swimming education, raising awareness and encouraging participation in programs.

Who are you?

You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels as well as excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.

Your passion for the aquatic industry as well as your enthusiastic, approachable, and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role. Additionally, you will have:

• Proven experience leading partnerships and stakeholder engagement across government, community, or industry.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating the continual development of business activities with measurable impact.
• Ability to design a new product or service from concept to implementation.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence and flexibility with working hours and willingness to travel regionally as required.
• Employee Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
• Experience in aquatic, sport/recreation, health, or local government sectors.
• Knowledge of public safety programs or community education frameworks.
