Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and promoting our extensive range of marine products and services. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the marine industry.
Territory:
- Home base: Hampton Roads area
- Additional Territory: Atlantic seaboard from Maine to Georgia
- Travel expectations - As required by customers and management
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the military and commercial marine sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the marine industry.
- Strong understanding of marine valves, pipes, fittings, and related products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
