Test Lead

Job Description

As part of an exciting uplift to our corporate systems, we are embarking on an implementation of Workday across our People, Payroll, and Finance operations. We are looking for a Test Lead to join the team on a 10-month maximum term contract

The Test Lead is responsible for ensuring Cuscal's Workday implementation includes best practice test management, that all testing phases are completed confidently, documented, and tracked appropriately, and that test resources are properly briefed, trained, and used efficiently to support the project delivery.

You'll also make an impact by :

• Developing and implementing a test strategy for Cuscal's Workday implementation and integrations, aligned with Cuscal's testing standards.
• Creating and delivering detailed test plans for all testing phases, including schedules and resource management.
• Collaborating with the project team to ensure test strategies and plans meet project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
• Leading business and technology SMEs and stakeholders in creating test cases and scripts, with review and sign-off processes.
• Guiding stakeholders during test execution, tracking progress, and managing expectations.
• Managing defect triage processes using JIRA, including root cause analysis, issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
• Assessing testing activities continuously to ensure objectives are met and risks or issues are addressed.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll have :

• 3+ years of experience as a test lead or manager in complex technology/system implementations.
• Experience in smaller organizations with hands-on planning and testing responsibilities.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience designing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Strong skills managing cross-functional testing involving various teams.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments, persevere through challenges, and deliver results.
• Experience with test tools like JIRA or similar platforms.
• Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies.

Preferred but not required:

• Familiarity with HR, Finance, and Payroll processes.
• Knowledge of Workday and its testing methodologies.
