Production Manager

Our multiple production lines, which include mechanical equipment, CNC machinery, and robotics, require oversight of schedules, process optimization, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager ensures efficient operations, quality output, and safety compliance.
We seek a dynamic all-rounder with knowledge of ERPs, production planning, machinery maintenance, and preferably experience with CNC and robotics.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production strategies, plans, and workflows.
- Manage production, equipment supply, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with departments to align production goals.
- Develop and implement risk assessments, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
- Manage team performance, recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and training to foster high performance and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Generate KPI reports and provide production updates to management.
- Support installation of new equipment and factory layout planning.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum five years in a production management role with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) for planning, resource optimization, and reporting.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop production staff.
- Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- CNC machine setup and operation knowledge is desirable.
Qualifications:
- Cert IV Leadership and Management or similar qualification advantageous.
- Restricted Electrical Licence advantageous.
