About Your RoleThe Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) is a vital member of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District Nursing and Midwifery Workforce. The CNS2 provides high-level, patient-centered, evidence-based clinical nursing care, leading practice development in their area.
The CNS2 exercises extended autonomy in decision-making, using professional knowledge and judgment to provide complex care requiring advanced clinical skills. Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing assessments, expert consultation, and educational support for staff, patients, and families.
This role involves evaluating and supervising complex nursing care, acting as a professional role model, advocating for patients, leading clinical initiatives, and practicing autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
