Clinical Nurse Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse educator to contribute to the development of our nursing staff. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for providing learning opportunities for staff in designated areas, using a variety of teaching strategies. You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Managers to identify learning needs and develop programs that support the provision of quality nursing care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and experience in education and training. They will be able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clinical education programs that support the provision of quality nursing care in collaboration with the Education Manager and other relevant personnel.
- Provide clinical support to nursing staff in designated areas.
- Assess and identify learning needs and objectives of individuals and groups.
- Mentor new staff members and provide them with the necessary support and guidance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to complement planned programs.
You will also be responsible for attending meetings and reviews of relevant policies and procedures. Additionally, you will promote review of current research and literature, and utilise evidence-based practice when planning education activities.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Relevant post graduate qualifications in a relevant area(s) of expertise and/or education
- Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff
- Minimum of 5 years' post graduate clinical experience in a critical setting (ICU or CCU)
