The opportunity

We are seeking to add a talented lawyer to our highly regarded Construction & Infrastructure team in Brisbane. You will be part of a subgroup of 15 lawyers specializing in all aspects of construction law, working with prominent clients on diverse projects. You will collaborate closely with Partners Colin Harris, Paul Gordon, and Ross Williams, and be involved in:

  • Managing large-scale construction and infrastructure projects
  • Leading adjudications, arbitrations, and civil proceedings
  • Gathering and assessing evidence with a forensic approach
  • Drafting strategic legal submissions
  • Applying deep construction law knowledge to complex matters
  • Providing commercially strategic advice directly to clients
  • Serving an existing client base with ongoing matters and significant workflow

This team has a strong, collaborative culture with experienced partners and capable junior lawyers.

To succeed in this role, ideally you will have

  • 7+ years of post-admission experience
  • Strong commercial litigation background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Significant exposure to and interest in construction law
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Commercial acumen and critical thinking
  • Leadership skills to mentor junior team members
