About the role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team at APX Civil Pty Ltd in Yallah, NSW. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to progress for the right candidate, that will see you operating a range of plant and machinery to support our civil construction projects. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating a variety of construction machinery and equipment such as excavators, bobcats, and front-end loaders

Carrying out pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the machines you operate

Liaising with the site supervisor to understand task requirements and coordinate with the broader construction team

Maintaining detailed records of machine usage, maintenance, and any issues encountered

Adhering to all relevant safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Machine Operator in the civil construction industry

Proven ability to safely and competently operate a range of plant and machinery

Sound mechanical knowledge and experience in carrying out routine maintenance

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Tickets and licences for all relevant machinery. (SOA and VOC)

GPS experience preferred but not essential

Current and valid driver's licence (HR truck licence preferred but not essential)

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
