About the Role

House Supervisors manage the day-to-day operations of Residential Care homes. This is a management role, and you will be required to work directly with the clients. You will work together with the support team and young person to create a safe environment, build rapport and help develop independence.

A leader who strives to help others and who has experience working with a variety of different complex and challenging behaviours, including clients with disabilities.

Committed to quality client services and continuous improvement strategies.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role
  • High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skill in supporting people with a disability within a positive and therapeutic frame work.
  • Understanding Residential Youth Work and NDIS.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong staff-management skills, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
To be successful you will have
  • Completed a Cert IV in Disability or similar qualification.
  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening check (or willing to obtain).
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Administration of Medication (or willing to obtain).
