This is a permanent full-time Executive Assistant role based at Newstead, supporting the Office of the CEO and Chief of Staff. The role is varied and hands-on, ensuring day-to-day operations, as well as project initiatives and broader executive requirements are managed professionally and efficiently.
Base pay range: A$90,000.00/yr - A$110,000.00/yr.
About Our ClientOur client is a national industry council focused on addressing workforce challenges in key sectors including construction, property and building services. They collaborate closely with government, industry groups, and employers to find solutions to skills shortages across Australia.
About the RoleThe Executive Assistant will join the Office of the CEO and support the CEO and Chief of Staff. The role is varied and requires high-level coordination, executive support, and hands-on duties to ensure smooth operations, project initiatives, and executive requirements are managed in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Diary management, meeting coordination, and travel logistics for the CEO, senior leadership team, and Board
- Preparing correspondence, reports, briefing papers, and presentations
- Managing internal and external communications with key stakeholders, including industry leaders and government representatives
- Tracking progress and reporting on CEO-led initiatives and cross-functional projects
- Supporting planning and coordination of leadership events and forums
- Maintaining confidentiality and sound judgement in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- 3–5+ years' experience in executive coordination or executive assistant roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of stakeholders
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools
- A keen eye for detail, high level of discretion, and a calm, can-do attitude
- Work with a national organisation driving solutions to Australia's workforce and skills challenges
