The Opportunity :

We have ambitious plans to grow our Development Services portfolio, and this is an exciting time to join as we launch into our 2030 strategy This role can be based in Hobart or Melbourne.

  • Project Management: Engage in the end-to-end delivery of development and infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction and handover. Prepare and manage project documentation including scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, procurement plans, and tender submissions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, government authorities, consultants, and contractors. Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs (engineering, planning, surveying, environmental) to ensure integrated and timely project outcomes.
  • Financial and Commercial Management: Manage project financial performance including forecasting, resource planning, reporting, and commercial risk.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Leadership: Lead and deliver multidisciplinary development and infrastructure projects within Tasmania and other states. Demonstrate initiative and autonomy while applying sound judgment across diverse technical and planning domains. Also provide leadership to project teams including mentoring junior team members.

What you bring :

  • Project Management Expertise: 5+ years of strong project management capability in engineering, construction, or property development with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve competing priorities diplomatically and professionally.
  • Technical and Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical, planning, and regulatory information effectively. Understanding of local development approval processes and infrastructure planning in Tasmania (or other states) is desirable.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of project profitability, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client presentations.
  • Organisational Skills: Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills. Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments with competing deadlines.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills.
