About the Role :

This position primarily centres on utilising machines within an extrusion facility, with a good understanding of systems that will optimise the manufacturing process. Safety and quality are our top priorities on-site, ensuring that every operation is conducted with precision and care.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure product quality and packaging standards are maintained and comply with delivery targetsMachine operation and inspection using vernier and micrometresAbility to read extrusion drawingsLoading aluminium into machinesGeneral computer and SAP knowledge is desirableParticipate in training to become a multi-skilled team memberCommunicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiativesTake full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)

ESSENTIAL

Understanding of basic safety principlesAbility to work autonomously and maintain a high level of activity across all shiftsDemonstrated experience in working in a team environmentBasic understanding of quality principles

DESIRABLE

Previous experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with automated machineryAbility to identify problems and resolve or contribute to resolution thereofForklift licenceExperience and knowledge of material handlingBasic computer literacy skills
