The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Immigration Lawyer to join our growing team in Melbourne CBD. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent law graduate (or final-year law student) with a genuine interest in immigration law to work alongside experienced lawyers and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist in preparing and lodging visa applications, appeals, and submissions to the Department of Home Affairs, ART, and other relevant bodies.


• Conduct legal research and draft client correspondence, legal documents, and advice letters.


• Maintain accurate client records and case management through our digital systems.


• Liaise with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds with empathy and professionalism.


• Support senior lawyers on complex matters, including ministerial intervention requests.

About You


• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) completed or in final year (PLT students encouraged to apply).


• Strong interest in immigration law and commitment to social justice.


• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy practice.


• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (desirable).


• Fluency in a second language will be highly regarded.
