Our client is a fast growing IT Solutions business looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for capturing new clients and nurturing and growing existing relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire new education clients for hardware and IT solutions.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge to identify business opportunities and viable income streams.
  • Manage and retain relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand in-depth business products and value propositions.
  • Write business proposals, respond to tenders, and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Arrange and conduct business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Develop growth strategies and plans focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Design IT solutions to meet specific customer requirements, including cloud and mobile device management.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals, and manage sales pipelines.
Performance Measures
  • Achievement of sales targets by product and market segment.
  • Customer visits and satisfaction ratings (Net Promoter Score).
  • Accuracy and timeliness of CRM entries.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in sales as a BDM or account manager
  • Experience in selling into Education or Government will be highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of IT products and the ability to create customer-specific solutions.
  • Experience in high-level negotiations and sales of IT solutions such as VMWare, Microsoft cloud services, and MDM.
  • Excellent communication, customer support, time management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicts constructively and motivate teams.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
