Yuca is looking for an experienced and driven Venue Manager to lead our team in Toorak. We are a vibrant café known for our specialty coffee, seasonal menus, and exceptional service. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a dynamic venue and shape its future.
Role Overview:
As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of Yuca, ensuring a high standard of service, smooth workflow, and a positive team environment. You will work closely with the owners and leadership team to uphold our brand and drive business growth.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage rosters, staffing levels, and labor costs efficiently
- Maintain stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure all health and safety standards, compliance, and licensing regulations are met
- Handle customer feedback, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate with the kitchen and coffee teams to maintain smooth service flow
- Implement and refine systems for efficiency and consistency
- Report on business performance and work on strategies for growth
- Assist in marketing, promotions, and community engagement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a venue management or senior front-of-house role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for hospitality, service, and team development
- Experience with rostering, budgeting, and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of specialty coffee and a background in café management is a plus
- Ability to work across weekdays and weekends as required
