About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide expert clinical knowledge and care for consumers/patients with various conditions, supporting the general function of the unit through role modeling and application of contemporary, evidence-based, consumer/patient-focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. Additionally, this role offers support and guidance to Registered Nurses and other non-registered nursing personnel in complex situations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following key responsibilities in line with Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfill the responsibilities of this role according to Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1, and align with Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values to achieve organizational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Practice in accordance with the code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing/midwifery, maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
- Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver high-standard, patient-centered care.
